Founder

From walking job sites with his father at the age of ten to managing multimillion-dollar projects, Alex’s path in construction has been lifelong. While studying at UAB, he balanced academics, working with his father, and personal training—where casual conversations with clients turned into home improvement jobs. This organic growth led to the founding of QS Construction. With hands-on experience in both residential and commercial sectors, including managing a $15M+ portfolio as a Construction Project Manager, Alex now leads QS Construction with vision, dedication, and a passion for building.

Santana Smith

Co-Founder

Santana holds a B.S. in Finance from UAB and brings a diverse background in HR, recruiting, and project management. As Co-Founder of QS Construction and licensed Alabama realtor for QS Realty, she is passionate about helping clients not only find their dream home but also guide them through the design and building journey—offering a seamless, personalized experience from start to finish.

Jaye Hughes-Dilworth

Marketing & Public Relations Manager

Jaye earned her B.S. in Marketing with a concentration in Marketing Management from UAB in 2019. With over six years of marketing experience and a strong background in real estate, Jaye brings expertise in both multi-family and commercial properties. At QS Construction, she leads all marketing and PR efforts—elevating the brand, crafting compelling stories, and ensuring every project stands out.
